CREATING COMMUNITY ACROSS BORDERS
You are invited to a global performance fundraising event called Creating Community Across Borders, happening simultaneously in 15 cities across 13 countries! If you would like to be part of this global initiative and join the event in your city, please RSVP by Friday the 3rd of March. Fill in the form below or follow the link, to receive information about meeting points, time and details in your city.
We come together in this moment in history to create a collective performance of play and solidarity. Depending on where we are, we are called: refugees, migrants and locals. We are all building communities and creating possibilities for new kinds of conversations.
You are invited to perform the world with us and to help create new possibilities!
Groups are being organised locally in: Canada (Vancouver), Greece (Thessaloniki and Lesvos), Italy (Martino), France (Paris), Germany (Berlin), Luxembourg (Luxembourg), Mexico (Juarez), Romania (Baia Mare), Serbia (Belgrade), Syria, Turkey (San Ulfa), UK (London), USA (NY and SF).
TOGETHER, we will:
- Participate in a shared online call
- Create music, poetry, art and performances across borders
- Talk with one another
- Launch an online fundraiser
The fundraiser will support Play is Hope: its operations and its grassroots collaborations and joint performance activism projects with other local organisers around the world. 10% of the funds will be donated to the open refugee camp Pikpa & the educational and cultural centre Mosaic.
The event is happening on the 4th of March 1pm EST (local times vary around the world, please find out more through email).
To take part, RSVP by filling the form below or email firstname.lastname@example.org (be sure to include your location in the subject line) You will receive a reply with location and time details from your local group.
The event is FREE to attend! Please forward this invitation to your local networks and spread the word.
